Photo bucket screwed everyone that used their site for 3rd party picture hosting therefore all my photos have disappeared. I've cleaned up this thread so that all my pictures are now links to google photos folders.

I thought I'd chime in here and offer another way of weighing your tow.

You will need a bathroom scale, a ruler, chalk and a digital tire pressure gage.

First weigh the tongue by putting the jack wheel on the bathroom scale.

Next, draw an outline of the tires as close as you can get the chalk.

Next measure the tire pressure in each tire.

move the boat off the chalked tire outline. Multiply the width by length to get the square inches of each tire footprint.

Multiply the square inches of the tire footprint by the pounds per square inch in the corresponding tire. That's how much weight that tire is holding. Do the same for the other tire. Add the two and the bathroom scale amount--that's your tow weight.

It's not as accurate as a truck scale-but it won't be far off--and you can do it yourself.
