Hello Gents
I have an older Getaway and am planning to add the Bow Spreader Plates part number 37500021.
I see that they are on the top of the cross bar.
Are they on the bottom as well?
I assume that they were added to reinforce the bolt hole due to some problems?

Thanks, Jason.

I've never seen these before, but my getaway is 14 years old and I have noticed that the bolt holes for my bow tangs appear to be getting larger (maybe from corrosion?). Are these plates to reinforce the holes on the bow spreader? Are they attached with rivets? Do newer getaways come with these? It would be great if someone had a picture of what they look like installed. Its hard to tell much from the parts guide. Based on the wear on my holes, I'm thinking maybe I should install these on the bottom too so that the nut doesn't pull through. Is there any reason not to do that?
