congrats your gona have a blast. I always recommend people get a pack of ring dings, clevis pins Hobie part number 30302 wave/getaway pin set, pick up a few packs just to have handy, get some extra drain plugs, you never know when someone else may need yours worse that you do. Did you get the wings, if not go back there well worth it, pick up an extendable hiking stick so you can move around on the boat a bit. I think this is just about it, maybe a set of cat trax

Brad,
Yes I got the wings. At first I was against them I wanted the more traditional look like the H-16 but after doing some research the wings are going to make this boat a blast.
Thanks for the heads up on the small parts, this should make for trouble free sailing days this summer.

Where will you be sailing? Elkridge is pretty close to the bay isn't it? Bought my Getaway at the end of Sept and have not had it in the water yet.

I recommend that you get a pair of extra tiller bushings as well. They go between the rudder and the tiller cross bar. They have a tendency to fail. They're only $4.00 a piece and can be changed out in about 5 minutes. Keep them on board in case they fail while you are on the water.

totaly agree about the rudder tendeons, they can break and mess up the whole day!

Thanks for the heads up on the rudder bushings. I plan to use the boat on a lake in Hanover Pa. most of the time and on the bay. Sandy Point has a nice area for cats.

here is an update parts list I think you need to have.
(2)clevis pin set part #30302 $6.02
(1) spare parts kit part#30308 $46.00
(2) tiller tendons part #37561011 $5.90
(1) Hobie mast cradle part #3175 $61.90
(1) hot stick part #fx6 $118

this should have you set for a good year of sailing, don't forget maybe some gloves, a can of McLube. get the spare parts kit and add a couple screw drives in it, pliers, bottle openers, you know the basic tool for survival

I would suggest an assortment of stainless steel (or aluminum) pop-rivits and a pop-rivit gun. We pulled off two cleats and the jib cleats on our first weekend out. We were able to fix and keep sailing. Have Fun!!!
