Many years ago someone on the forum recommended a chemical to apply to the mast that would make it shiny black. I bought a can and have been using it for years. I can't find the can and I'm not sure I remember the name. I think it was Penetrol. Does that sound familiar to anyone? Dave |

Pretty sure I don't want Penetrol anywhere near my sails or lines. |

Yes, that is the product. It does wonders on a mast that is dull and chalky looking from the sun. It's easy to apply to the mast with no mess, and after it dries will not get on sails or rigging. My mast was very dull and chalky looking and after application is black and shiny. I highly recommend it. |
