I am moving my boat from Michigan to Florida and I would like to pack the boat up a few days before leaving. That means my sails will be in the catbox in 20 deg. to 40 deg. temperatures for about 4 days. Can those temperatures for that period of time damage my sails? Any input on this would be appreciated.

My sails winter in an unheated storage shed in northern Illinois. I've never seen any damage from the cold.

I just bought a 2019 Getaway in Tampa. I live in Polk City and sail Tampa Bay all most every weekend.

I live in Michigan but spent two weeks in Cape Coral, sailing in Charlotte Bay.
