Many getaways with motors im seeing so thought I’d post here.. planning a two week desolation sound adventure with my Getaway. Pondering how much fuel to bring.

Let’s hear it, what’s your experience with fuel mileage or hour(s) per tank, throttle range used, water conditions, current, etc... A lot of variables indeed but just trying to get a feel.... I have a brand new Suzuki 2.5 hp. Thanks amigos!

I ran a complete tank only once. It was in a canal so calm water and little current. I don't know if it matters, but it wasn't gasoline, it was TruFuel (I rarely use the motor and TruFuel stays good for a long time).

Tandem Island with Suzuki 2.5.

11 Miles at an average speed of 4 MPH.

I have a Torqeedo electric, so I have no personal experience. But I googled your question, and one site said the Suzuki 2.5 uses 0.25 gallons/hour at 5500 RPM.

Hairy.side.up!

Are you the couple from Shasta that showed me your Hobie in the Kerme islands in 2019? I would love to have some followup questions on your motor, multi-day sailing adventures--you inspired me to get my first Getaway and I just picked up a Suzuki motor...

Tks- hope you see this.
