I have the newer design of Getaway. I noticed the tiller cross bar connecting the two tillers is 1cm + shorter than the oldér design of Getaway. Both Getaways are using the newer design of locking rudder system.
Is this because on the new design...
a) the rudder pintles (port and starboard) are closer together
b) the rudders have been intentionally designed to be more *toe-in" on the new model
c) my tiller crossbar is defective
d) some other reason

Check the part numbers for the old and new...if they are the same number, then they should be the same length and you may have one made incorrectly. 1 cm isn't a lot, though.

The newer boats are a different width at the pintles. Yes.
