Hello,

I have a 2006 Getaway with the old-style hatches. The major issue is that the hinges are broken, and the gasket is moldy. I can't find the exact replacement hatches anywhere, but I've seen the new-style hatches available. The bolt pattern appears to be different. My question is, how much modification is required to install the new hatches? Will I also need a new bucket?

I updated the cooler lids on my 2002 Getaway to the new style. It's been a while, so I don't remember about the bolt pattern. I do remember that it wasn't difficult. All you need are the lids and new gaskets. For me, the new hatches are much more water tight than my old ones. I also prefer the smooth edges. You don't change the buckets. I believe they are actually part of the hull.

Easy swap except for paying for the new hatches!
I had a hatch break, so I replaced both my old style. Tried to give the unbroken one away, no one wanted it so it got the heave ho.

I have a 2014 Getaway and the locks of batch hatches are missing ( * ). Any pointers where I could find the lock mechanism itself would be much appreciated, otherwise I guess I have to replace both hatches ( they are fine otherwise ).

(*) Hatch cover/lock looks like this
