Does the newer style Getaway with reverse bows have a different handicap to the old style Getaway. Is there any data showing any significant difference in performance. Cheers Ashley |

I'd love to know the definitive answer to this. I'm about to enter an event and there's a motion being argued to change my Handicap rating because I'm in the newer designed boat. I don't see a alternate rating published anywhere. |

I don't see a alternate rating published anywhere. I fist posted this query back in March. Does anyone have a suggestion if the newer shape Getaway should sail under a different handicap than other older Getaways? If so what should be the alternative handicap. These are the current handicaps for Hobies... H16. 1.218 Getaway 1.264 Wave 1.521 |

I would think the burden of proof would lie on those making the claim that it should change. If those protesting can't provide evidence of the need for a rule change, then the rule stands as is. |
