Hello All,

I replaced the seat pads today as the old ones were taking a beating from the sun. In the process of replacing the pads, I resealed the inspection plates. I scraped off the old heat melt glue and bedded the plates with 3M 4000. I was going to use 5200, but I used 4000 in case I want to install small hatch covers here later. My boat was leaking in the rain, and after pulling off the old pads I saw why. The heat melt glue was cracked and shrinking. If your boat is leaking, replace the pads and reseal the port plates. Today the boat was dry.
