I purchased a new Hobie Wave with a one year old trailer and a mast stand for $3800 out the door. The wave had a small ding on the hull so they reduced the price $300.I cannot begin to tell you about all the fun that I have had on the wave. It's light fast, easy to tack, very boyant and easy to set up.It is one rugged little sail boat that takes a beating and keeps sailing.I pound the wave thru heavy surf and out to high seas and have never had any problems-so I advise that you purchase one asap.....
Can't tell you what they want in Greece but that's what I paid here in Florida

That seems like a great deal, where did you get it from? I contacted my local dealer and they were talking about
$4195 +410(ship+assmb)[not optional] +trailer (abt $650)
and maybe i can knock $200-300 off at the end

Any ideas about where to find a better deal with maybe a used decent trailer?
Thanks ALOT

 your absolutly correct and I must apologize for the miss quote.
I paid $3,995.00 + tax $795.00 for the trailer and a mast stand for a total of $4,790.00 at the Tackle shack in Pinellas Park Florida. The boat was reduced due to a small ding in the port hull and the trailer was one year old and was slightly used. I love the boat and plan to buy a Hobie 16 or mabe 18 in the near future, however, I will never sell the Wave as it is the most fun a day sailer could possibly have with total ease of setup and sailing.
Thank you, Hobie USA.

I didn't figure an "agent" would blow their cover so blatently, but felt that this was a good forum to do it on. Your secret is safe with us

Anyway- be patient. I was able to track down a couple used/rental HWs last fall for very reasonable prices - if you don't mind a used boat. You have to do some legwork to find marinas, clubs and hotels that rent them. If I can find my files on my search results I will post them for you.

I did not buy one because the Admiral thinks we have too many things in the yard already. :x

Can't have too many boats I always say :) Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I bought my Wave in 1995. It has the padded backrests, jib kit installed, custom trailer with a cat box and I have the Cat Trax to launch from the beach. I live in San Diego and will be moving, which is why I want to sell it. Contact me at [email protected].
