But planned. I went 38.3 miles in just over 4 hours. Wind 11-20kts. Top speed via GPS was 13.1kts.

Found out that a wet butt is major issue for 4 hours. I think a dry suit is the way to go if the temp allows.

Also found that getting to a water bottle up front is hard to do in this situation. Might try a water pack on back instead of bottles.

This was a test for a run from Miami area to Bimini. :D

Sounds like fun :D

I have sailed big cruising boats from Miami & Ft Lauderdale to Bimini many times but not on a Hobie. A few of those times we hit either big wind/waves (cold front) or dead calm, both would be tough for the Hobie.

Good luck with your trip, pick a good weather window.
