Hello, I put the backrest on my wave. I was worried they would be in the way of hiking way back. But, they make everything easier. I sailed today in heavy wind and i think it was my funnest sail ever on the wave. I think i like the backrest a lot! rbrazz |

I also have the back rest and I think they are the best. If you want to hike out just take them off and leave them on the beach. I also have a hooter and I just sit back as far as possable it seems fine. I can hit speeds up to 14 knots not nearly as fast as my 16 did but alot more comfortable. If it flies a hull I just sit way aft and hold the main sheet Its kinda like sailing a couch when you compare it to hiking out. If I take another person its the only way to go you will never hike out with two anyway. Its real easy to remove them and put them back on anytime. good luck |
