Was fudging around the net and found these pictures at some wave racing event.

It seems the sails on those waves have different batten placement than on the regular rainbow wave. Notably the first and last battens.

Are these sails custom? I really like the green/white starburst one =3

Yes, they are custom, non-OEM sails (i.e., not built by Hobie). There is a Wave racing class that allows the use of custom sails, hence, you will see Waves racing with all different sail designs from different manufactures. (This is different from all the other Hobie racing classes which require you to use Hobie brand sails.)
