I know there is a traveler kit available.
Has anyone tried using a bridle similar to the arrangement for a sunfish to get a better sail shape when heading into the wind?
This would seem to be a simpler than the traveler kit (except there isn't a factory one available).
If someone has tried this, I have some questions:
1. How did you fix the ends of the bridle?
2. What rope did you use for the bridle?
I would imagine it would need to be very strong to handle the 4:1 mainsheet tension.
3. What did you use on the bridle to attach the mainsheet lower block to?
Thanks
Mr. Lurker

I don't think this is an improvement for sail shape. It moves the clew to leeward more than anything. It would also raise the attachment point of the blocks and reduce the ability to sheet harder reducing the ability to point higher. or reduce the ability to rake the mast aft.

The bridle on the Sunfish is more about going over the tiller I think... not improved performance.

The traveler system for the Wave is designed to improve off-the-wind performance and allow the main to move to leeward a bit for higher wind performance. Travel down and sheet harder when going upwind in high winds.
