Once in a while I search for new images of Hobie Waves. Ususully the common promo/sales things show up. However today I came across this from a Fanning Island travelogue (http://www.svsilhouette.com/2014_01_01_archive.html): Quote: Some villagers also use catamarans to travel back and forth across the lagoon. We saw several Hobie cats in use at Fanning. This Hobie cat with an olive sail frequently crossed the lagoon Looks like a heavily-loaded Wave to me. Non-Hobie sail. One rudder. ? |

It doesn't look to me like they have a clevis pin and ring ding holding the forestay to the bridle. |

Just looked up where Fanning Island is: it's way out there. Way south of Hawaii (perhaps the origin of the Wave), just north of Christmas island: |
