Hi all,

Just a question about the optional spreader bar for the Wave. From people's experience does it help hold the bows up out of the water? I would like an improvement on that front but for now I want to avoid installing a jib.

Cheers 8)

No, the spreader bar does not help the bow stay up. It is intended to keep the bows spread apart while using the jib. I do think the jib helps lift the bows up.

The spreader does not help in that regard. Weight further aft. Less weight. Sheeting out. The traveler kit allows the main sail to be traveled out which relieves some pressure on the bows.
