What is the best way to remove water in the rear crossbar? If I remove the screws that hold the hook/cleat thingie that holds the main sheet system to the rear crossbar, will the water drain out there?

Should be a cap in the center underside... You can pop that out to drain if needed. Rivets should also drain. They are hollow.

Thanks Matt. Good thing I asked first, those screws are machine screws and the lock nuts are inside. And so is the little plug now. Oh well, got all winter to either find a new one or fish it out. On the up side, I did get a full 4 cups (32 fl ounces) of water out.

"Spend some time upside down?"

Not me, maybe previous owner though. He said he could never get the hang of it. LOL

I did have a lot of this before I raked the mast back 1 hole on the adjuster...
