Hey Guys,
Just thinking of all the sail camping I want to do this summer on the Wave. I have grand plans and have been doing some reading of various sorts. Folks talk a lot about boom tents and this sounds great.... EXCEPT I own a wave and have no boom (No Boom for you!)

I was wondering if anybody has made a "Boomless" tent?
I was thinking a large Poly or canvas tarp with a D Ring installed 1/2 way and a fiber glass tent pole attached at midpoint. Then raise or lower using Halyard and pull out and stake to ground/ sand using light line to grommets. Sounds simple enough right? Any other ideas or simpler ideas?

Nick

Just get a self-supporting tent and some ties to anchor it to the tramp lacing. Here's a small 1-person tent: https://www.rei.com/product/879885/the- ... eak-1-tent

They also have a 2-person that is almost the same size as the tramp.

The tent on the tramp is an Idea I have considered. However, If I am going to camp in a tent I would probably pop it on the beach. The other consideration I had was no tent an less weight, no poles, just rope and tarp. Not sure though if others have had no luck with this.

Would sleeping under the wave (when on land of course) work for you? Drape a tarp over the tramp and both open ends between the hulls.

That sir is BRILLIANT! I need to find out if my fat tail can fit underneath! :D
That would be super easy. Two tarps would be a solid idea to keep off ground. Even just some plastic sheeting would work. GREAT Idea!

I'm glad you like that idea. If you need more room, maybe lay the wave over on it's side and make a lean-to with some tarps.
