I bought an older model Wave. It does not have shroud adjustments

A few weeks ago I had my port side shroud shackle bolt pop. It was older, and the guy I bought it from threw in his spare parts. I replaced the shackle bolt with a new one from the spares.

Today, after a an hour or so out,. The new bolt popped.

Any reason this new one popped so quick?

My thoughts are that it was 1) too small in the first place, or 2) something else is wrong. Any thoughts?

Not sure what part you refer to. The original wave had hooks that connected to the chain plate.

These never failed.
