Metal sleeve that holds crossbar in port hull was pushed out of the hull:

I got a dent on the opposite side of the hull as well:

Is this damage repairable? How?

And if a new hull is the only option, are new hulls compatible with 2007 model? Do they come with trampoline track, chainplate, etc., or it will be just plastic?

Thanks!

I would hammer it back in... and see if you can still use the boat without if moving to quickly.

Thanks! Does make sense to put some screws through hull, sleeve and probably crossbar? Or, alternately, put quick pin used for holding backrests?

I don't think so. How fast did it work its way out?

If you hammer it back in, put a block of wood between the crossbar end and the hammer.

... and some MARINE silicone on both ends.

Let the hammering begin.

It's Hammer time!! [Now there's a reference that none of you folk that are afflicted with youth will catch.]

Thanks everyone for the help, but unfortunately, hammering back didn't work out. Sleeve protruded once again, once I tighten trampoline back. Looks like I have some structural weakness on inner side of the hull :( I guess the best option would be to search for used hull. Are there any huge differences between the hulls across model years? I only know that old standard models didn't have trampoline tracks.

OK then. Try G-Flex (West epoxy for plastics) on both ends and hammer. Serves as a lubricant when going in and really holds for the not coming out part.

What have you got to lose except $30 for the material. A hull will be more expensive than that.

"It's Hammer time, again."

CA Newbie, have you thought of adding a small stainless plate between the hull and the smaller stainless stopper thingie that is attached to the crossbar? It could be attached to the stopper and would spread the load, and maybe prevent the pushout problem.

That's actually a great idea, thanks!

Your welcome. It wouldn't be a permanent fix, but might buy you some sailing time until you get a chance to come up a better solution.

Followed maxphunn's advice and created backing plate:

Looks ugly, but works! Tested yesterday. Some push out still happening, but it's manageable I hope.

2 maxphunn, thank you for advice Sir, I owned you big big time :)

PS Happy Canada Day and Independence Day!
