Starboard hull on a wave is flexing badly right in front of the cross bar. When you pull on the main sheet the hull moves in and up. It has created a crease in the top and side. Best way to describe is it looks like pushed hard enough the hull will completely kink or collapse inward. As it sits on the beach damage almost disappears, or at least if you weren’t looking for it. Anyone ever seen or heard of this happening? Also what may have caused it.

I had something similar. I believe it was result of a hit to the side of the boat. Eventually have to replace the hull, but backing plate between crossbar "stopper" (not sure that is the right term :) ) and the hull saved a season (thanks for suggetion from maxphunn):
