Post subject: | Compartment under seat pad question |
I have been looking at buying this Hobie wave and I have a couple of questions. 1. (my main concern) Under each seat pad, is a round compartment maybe 4-5 inches in diameter, fastened in by 5-6 screws. I am concerned how waterproof they are? I have never seen this, is this normal? 2. The seats, are not Hobie seat pads, are they as easy as just ungluing/peeling off or is it a lot of work? 3. What do you use to put the new Hobie seats back..what kind go glue? Bill M |

The access ports with screws are good. The seats have sticky back. Peel and stick. May be hard to remove if well glued. Why remove them? |

Thanks for the reply! The seat pads are worn pretty bad, not much padding left, and need replacing. |

May have to scrape some of the glue off. Not too bad. |
