At the end of last season, when breaking down the boat for storage, the mast had a lot of water in it. I took off the comp tip and poked a small hole in the foam stopper in the mast and the water drained. Any suggestions on how to seal the foam block to prevent water accumulation this season?
Thank you

Seem the masts can wick in moisture over time. Seal the leading edge with resin and then plug the foam hole with sealant. Silicone or similar.

As a simple alternative, I drilled a very small hole in the base of the mast which permanently lets the water out.

It works very well and doesn't let water in during a capsize because the mast float keeps the base of the mast way above the water level.

The small drain hole is now standard on the Wave masts.

Thank you, Lurker, for the repost describing that the foam plug runs up about 10" from the bottom !!!

Years ago, I wanted to drill a hole near the bottom and posted a couple of times asking how far up the foam went. I never did get a reply, so I also drilled a hole in the top to take it off and drain it upside down (as others mentioned) but re-sealing it every year was building up silicone and I no longer wanted to do this.

Much appreciated!!
