Hi All,
I'm considering entering my Wave in the 2023 Everglades Challenge. What do you think of the likelihood that this boat will survive the conditions there? I understand seas can run 8 feet with winds to 30mph.

I'm not too worried about the wind speed. I have 2 reef points and have sailed in 30+mph conditions.

I'm worried most about:
1) The boats tendency to pitch pole downwind as the bows are fine and the mainsail is mounted quite forward.
2) Durability of the boat as it needs to rock in the waves for about 10 hours or more per day loaded with me, maybe one more adult, and our gear.

Of secondary concern is modifying with a rowing station. Does anyone have advice here? My default is to bring two paddles, but I'd like to set up something more efficient if possible.

Thanks,
Ken

You can rig up a Wave for rowing.

Here is a thread on how: https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9842

Did you participate in the Everglades challenge? I was considering it also.
