Post subject:  Anyone use quick release levers on the shrouds?

I was thinking of adding some quick release levers to speed up setup at the ramp. Has anyone used the ones below? Is a 400 lb working load sufficient?

Thanks!

I don’t think that will help setup time. I used something like that on a different cat to help right when capsized. Not sure what you would gain in setup. If solo, use a bungy to keep the bridle wires near the crossbar, so you can reach them. I put my chest into the mast and reach forward to attach the forestay to the bridle, but I have long arms.

I have standard edition bridles with quick release: https://shop.foghmarine.com/wire-bridle-wave.html. I use halyard as a temporary forestay, then connect bridles to bow tangs.

Thanks for the tips everyone! I’ve never seen those quick connect bridles, that’s a good idea. We’re finally getting warm up North, I’m looking forward to trying a few new methods when I get the boat out. Thanks again.
