Post subject: | Hull leak |
I have found that during a 2 hour fishing expedition on my outback, I would continually bring on about a quart of water. I have narrowed it down to water leaking through the mounting bolts for the Mirage drive lock down system. I will be calling my dealer today to get their opinion on a fix, but I was looking for a possible answer from daily users. I am planning on placing a O-ring under each plastic lock, but I am not confident this will take care of it. I might go with a silicon sealant for the threads, but I need to check with the warranty guru's first. Any thoughts? Dave |

Well... That's a new one! If you do a search on "Leaks" you'll find a lot of info on other areas of the hull, most notably in the forward area of the drive well. Contacting your dealer is the best option. |

No I'm not, but Hobie is replacing both of my boats due to cracks in the peddal box. Dave |

Yeah, I had mine replaced under warranty too. We got a few of them here in Australia. But the new one has the cool new handles! |
