The metal rod on my turbo fin popped though - punctured - the blade near the bottom.

Is this a manufacturing defect?

How can it be repaired?

Cheers - Andrew

Not a defect... you have struck bottom at some point. Typically this stretches the fin out a bit and then the mast pokes through the side of the fin an inch or more down.

There are topics in these forums about fin repair, but the fins are also inexpensive if they need replacement.

I did a search for fin +repair

search.php?keywords=fin+%2Brepair&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search
