Hi, I recently purchased a Revo 11 and I was wondering if scotty rod holders can be rail mounted on the sidekick crossbars using their rail mount adapters?
Also what is the outter tube diameter of the sidekick bars?
Thanks.

The SideKick uses a paddle shaft tube, so 1"?

One option to consider is the mounting options provided by YakAttack. Here is an example of a Scotty mount on a Pro Angler handle.......

You can look at this and other YakAttack products by visiting the YakAttack Site.

Good luck!!

I have looked on the yakattack website and do not see the hardware to attach the geartrac to the PA handle. Have I just missed it? I seem to recall the pictured mount was a prototype and they were working on a new more durable option.

You can find the mounting hardware on the HOOK1 site

Interesting idea. Wouldn't a regular rail-mounted rod holder work or is the diameter of the sidekick bar too big for the rail-mount fitting?
