Well, several folks on this board have caught them but very few are hardcore speck anglers. If you are thinking of heading out one day to target this species, you may find some of the information that was shared this past Tuesday night at the Appomattox River Company's Meet The Pro Staff night helpful in at least getting you started. I hope you find the information useful. The Speckled Trout - part 1 It is in no way intended to be preachy or the be all end all how-to guide - rather it is simply to help out some of the new folks on here and some of you that have had challenges in the past. If I can get my son out on the water and have him catching specks each time we head out using the techniques and gear I provide him, then I am hopeful that someone else will also find this useful. |
