A few weeks ago I posted a book review of a resource on Smallmouth Bass fishing. Recently, I had an opportunity to kayak fish on a large Virginia mountain river for Smallmouth. Read my blog at link for why fly fishing is such a great way to catch large smallies!

I spent 10 years fishing the James River and the Shenandoah River for smallmouth bass with a fly rod. Used a small river pontoon/raft to float/fish. One of my favorite times.

P.S. Tell my buddy Benton hello!

Cool islandspeed2001. May have to look those rivers up someday. I'll pass along the message to Benton!
