Sorry, not familar with Quest storage.

But rod storage for the Adventure sucks. About the only thing you can do is insert them through the center hatch if flexible enough, and we are talking 2-3 piece rods at that.

I've used the Okuma Convector 15 a few times now, I like it. A sturdy little reel, perfect for the banging around in a kayak, casts nice, smooth drag. It's like a miniature big game reel.

Already caught three ten pound plus fish with it. Lots of fun for light tackle fishing. A perfect match for my $7 WalMart big game rod.

Ron,
That 15 CS Convector reminds me of the Newell 229. That is a great size for messing around with the bonita and barracuda at La Jolla. I tried out my new 30 CS Covnector last Sunday at La Jolla. It worked awesome! I am going to
get another one soon to replace my worn out Diawa SL30SH.

Usually, I use that rig for a bait stick, then if the big boys aren't biting, I troll a croc or Frenzy around to see what happens. First time out I caught about a 12 lb. yellowtail with it. The rod was bent in half, thought it would snap for sure.
This is my first Okuma. Now that you mention it, it does look kind of like a Newell. It is really rugged and well built for a small reel. I'm not a big fan of level winders for casting, especially with light line.
It will be a good bay bass fishing reel over the winter as well, switch from 20lb. to 12lb. test line.

Ocean Reels-Penn 545, usually rigged with 40lb. test line and a Dawia Sealine 40SHV that works well with 30lb. test. The 30lb test rig is good for flylining live bait and tossing plastics, the heavier setup for running bait deep with a sliding sinker and leader or heaving heavy jigs:

Bay Reels
-The Okuma Convector CV 15C is a nice rig for trolling light lures like the Frenzy, casting heavier jigs or using as a drop shot setup. The Shakespeare T4440 spinning reel is used for casting light lures like 1/8oz. leadhead grubs:
