Hit the Midbay Bridge in Destin this afternoon for a few hours. The bite was not incredible but I stuck it out and ended up with 8 sheepshead, 1 filefish, and 1 bluefish. I had a couple of other cutoffs from bluefish and lost a couple of beasts to the pilings (I am guessing drum of some sort but who knows). Headed in during another awesome sunset. Lewis, I used the DIY mount from the website listed below. I also use a six inch piece of pool noodle (I put a slit in it vertically and then shave it down as required ) to wrap around the base of the monopod and I put it in my right rear rod holder of my Outback. http://palmettokayakfishing.blogspot.com/2012/02/kayak-fishing-monopod-conversion-for.html Will |
