First full episode of Paddlefield is now live. Sub-titled 'Expeditions' this clip covers the ambitious kayak fishing expeditions that I embarked on last year. Some great action in this clip, starring myself, Carl, Holger, Paulo, Rhett, Shep, Mack & Longtail tuna, Trevally and Marlin.

You'll need 22 mins to watch the full thing, so grab a cuppa or crack a beer and enjoy!

Great job! Awesome video editing and rediciulous footage! You have been inspiring me for a long time and finally after yrs of yak fishin i have my AI!

You guys are lucky to have Fishing grounds like that off your coast.....how far offshore do you guys usually venture when looking for tuna/marlin? What kind of depths? Wish we had areas like that here in sc, 10 mile run will get you 60ft at most.....mahi/sailfish/bonita maybe on a lucky day....king/spanish macks are easily accessable and awesome tho!

Keep up the great work

-Jeff

Great work Josh - really enjoyed it. Good luck.

Tel us about your custom mirage cranks - they look good.

Deepbluesilence, it was relatively shallow out there at Fraser Isl, fishing in depths of about 6 metres up to about 18. But have caught tuna in deeper water in the past. All the marlin were in close, between 6 - 10 metres of water.

Davew, those cranks were part of a geared mirage drive experiment (varying pedal heights). In the end I decided Hobie got it right first time, but I kept the stainless cranks, because I don't like how the black anodized alloy ones start to deteriate over time.

Glad you liked the video chaps!

Just watched this video today. Awesome action! Those little marlins seem like a blast to catch.
