Post subject:  Kayak Fishing Boondoggle
Had a Blast this weekend with a huge turn out for this years Kayak Fishing Boondoggle. Got to meet up with some good friends and with several Hobie Team Members and even do a little fishing. This event was held at Karrs Park on Merrit Island on the NMZ. The wind was Brutal Saturday night and with us all camping, the temps got down close to the 20's and the winds were in excess of 25-30 MPH.
I still had a Blast, this is what it is about, Fishing, Friends, and Fun. Hope to see more of you at events this year. 8) 8) 8)

I was there too - came down with a few folks from Charleston...this was my third Boondoggle and it was great, despite the fishing being slow. Finally caught a couple of reds on Sunday at the Mosquito Lagoon.

What a great event. 250+ kayak fishermen/women from all over the USA. Yes, the wind was blowing and it was cold. However, fishing was the primary purpose of this trip to the Goon. It was one big party with everyone having a great time.
