Hopefully this will help. I'm guessing it's that your battery is dead. If you don't keep the battery on charge or temporarily charge it up and use it then it will lose its ability to hold a charge.
There have been 2 different chargers for the Hobie livewell and 2 different batteries depending on when you bought it. The old charger is smaller and when you plug it in to an electrical outlet you do not see a light come on:

ImageShack.usOnce you plug the charger in to the battery the light will turn on and be red in color. It will be a solid red light. After several hours of charging the light will begin to blink or flash from red to nothing, red to nothing, red to nothing. This means that the battery is charged and the charger has switched from its full charge mode to trickle charge mode. You can see the charger plugged in to the battery with the red light on while the battery is charging:

ImageShack.usI would suggest contacting your Hobie dealer and asking them to order you a new battery. Both the old and new chargers will work with the latest battery.
