Looking at Oasis or Outfitter but want the Advantage seats like in the true fishing kayaks. Is this possible? Was also looking at Jackson Big Tuna. Any input would help. My younger son and I can not wait to get out and fish on a kayak.
Thanks

Simple answer.
YES Oasis
No vantage seat for either you mentioned. :-(

Serious I have played with a oasis alot from solo fishing and sailing to tandem with grandaughter. :-) I have nothing bad to say about it.

I have all 3, outback, oasis & PA12 as demos in the store. I like them all and use the PA most by a long shot. Probably because I am fishing mostly.
Honestly what I hear least about the PA is the comfort of the seat. It is a pleasure to kick back and relax on the water while not fishing. I use a canoe paddle and the PA works great in shallow water. Treat it like a canoe with the paddle and it works great.

If you are doing much fishing I'd highly recommend a PA! Lots of room, sturdy, and it's SO nice to be able to stand and fish! As you can tell I like lots of room to move around so the 14 is my preference. I also have no issues with the old PA seat. I rose mine up about 6" on a sliding track. You won't be able to stand and sight fish with any Hobies other than the PA....which is mostly how I fish! If you are spending that much on a Hobie you may want to invest in a PA? One of the nice features with the new seat is that it folds up so there is a little more room for moving around while standing (vs the old style seat).

I forgot to mention that my PA14 is stable enough that I often have my son along at the same time....and he fishes from the back. Obviously you want to take the proper precautions (life jackets, etc) but it's possible to do this. I'm not sure if this would be possible in a PA12?

Of all 3 I get to use alot I use the PA most. More room, more stable. more options, amazing seat. I am just smileing all over thinking about it. :-)
