I can purchase 2013 Revo for $1699 compared to $1999 for 2014 Revo. Any difference between the 2013 and 2014 to justify $300.00 more?

Thanks

I was in the same situation. After considering the pros, cons, costs, and hassles of the various options for mounting a fish finder transducer on a 2013 Revolution (through-the-hull mount, scupper mount, and next-to-the-side boom), I bought a 2014 Revolution because it has a transducer pocket in the bottom and is already set up for running wires through the hull. And I'm really glad I did. The transducer is completely protected, I never need to mess with the transducer, and my fish finder works really well with the transducer in the pocket. The through-the-hull wiring grommets are easy to use and don't leak at all. My recommendation: spend the extra money and buy a 2014.

I would save the $300 and mount the transducer inside the hull use a well of duct seal. I move my transducer between multiple kayaks and need the mount to be temporary and fast. I guess it depends on your situation, but I never say no to money :)

I was skeptical to the whole transducer ready mount on the 2014 models as I always used electrician putty to mount my transducer but I bought a 2014 PA and was really impressed by the mount design and clean installation. Now my transducer is not on the way of anything I want to store inside plus it is exposed in the water and I am sure that gives me a bit more accurate readings. Go and check them out and check the cable routing before you make a decision. Revos are a great kayak!
