Was interested in rigging my Revo 13 for fishing. Anyone have any suggestions or input on the length and placement of the gear tracs on a Revo 13. I know Yak Attack has a narrow gear trac which would probably be best for the Revo.

Thanks

I would use the 90 with the full back for the revo.

Where and how long depends upon what you want to do. I have 6" at the rear for rocket launcher holders and 12" up front with additional 12" for fish finder and evolve control mounts.

If you search my posts you will find some pictures

12" forward of the nets is ideal. If you are going to rig for sailing and want to add a furling device, the 16" might serve you better for attaching the block and cleat for the furling sheet (see picture) or a clip to secure the main sheet when sailing (sorry I don't have a picture of this).

I have 8" on the gunnels rear of the seat and they have served me well for attaching rod holders, a flag, and a line guide for my main sheet when sailing (see picture).

I might be in the minority here but I installed the 12" 175 tracs on my old Revo 13. I did a whole rigging session with Luther himself at YakAttack. Take a look.....

Hanover_Yakker,

It was your blog that first got me interested in the GearTracs (and YakAttack) and I would have gone with the GT175 if the GT90 did not exist. I was super excited when the GT90 did come out as that eliminated the issue of track overhanging in the foot well.

Thanks for sharing your work.

I like 16" Yak Attack 1.75 tracks installed on the gunwales in front of the mesh pockets.
