Due to popular demand I have created a new video clip based upon our most recent Fraser Island (Australia) kayak fishing expedition. I delayed putting this one together for several reasons, primarily because I struggled to use the footage to form a narrative as planned due largely to (Go pro related) technical issues suffered by myself and my cohorts. This was a real shame because had footage been available for all the fishing action we encounted it would have made for a monumental clip - easily the best yet... and would have been five times as long. That said, I was still left with plenty of good footage to work with, largely thanks to Rhett Thorne, who not only out-fished the rest of the posse, also captured a good deal of quality footage.
In this clip you'll see some great golden trevally, mack tuna, mackerel and even a baby marlin, which Carl hooked and boated in the shallows. Unfortunately, his is one of the numerous cams that failed and as such, not only was the best of this moment lost, so were several others, including a whopping trevally. Along with several other missed moments, their inclusion would have made this clip so much better. That all said, I'm actually really happy how this one turned out, and the footage that I emitted will show up on my next major video clip, which should appear soon after a planned expedition in May.
