I have an 08 Outback. Will the new GT drive fit? It looks different than the older drives, so im guessing no, but want to confirm.

They do fit in older kayaks, all you need to do it remove the alignment pin from the spine, but beyond that small modification it will fit.

Thanks Jacques. I'm clueless - where is the alignment pin and how would I remove it?

You need to cut off the plastic alignment pins. It's quite obvious once you have the new drive in your hands :wink:
