New to the forums, really enjoy all the info and adventures I see and read about here.

Thought I would share the maiden voyage of my new Outback Limited Edition.

I wanted to go offshore fishing but the winds in South Florida are too much right now. Decided to do some inshore fishing instead, chose Ft. Pierce, Florida for my first trip. I have rented and chartered Hobie's for recreation and fishing before but never owned one. Decided to jump in with the Limited Edition

Really love the large rudder, turbo fins, square hatch and the orange color. The fishing was ok, not the best as I was getting use to the boat, trying to watch for the shallows so my fins or rudder didn't beach (which they did). Tried to stand while sight fishing (no issues with standing other than wishing I had a stake out pole), trying to get my sea legs. All in all, a great time. Caught a Snook, couldn't get the Red fish I found to take anything I passed in front of him, caught about 15 Lady Fish (some were a really nice size and they are fun to catch) and for some reason I couldn't avoid the puffer fish :-)

I only manage to take a few pictures as I was so pre occupied with getting use to the kayak, fishing, knowing where I was going, etc.

Enjoy the pics

Nice Yak! I think I saw you on Fort Pierce. Were you there Saturday? I was in an olive outback and I think you spoke to my friend in the white came Ocean Kayak.

Thanks for sharing and HUGE congrats !

I added the LE Outback to my mini fleet and was over a month before I was able to get it wet. Man that was a long month.

Nice, thanks guys. Had a nice (but a bit rough) off shore launch last Sunday. Loving the LE more and more each time. Don't mind the tackle boxes not put away or the leashes hanging over the sides. That was all cleaned up before launching. Just didn't have time to take a better pic of the LE. Concentrated on the launch more :-)

Pic of the LE loaded onto of my car. It's sitting on a Thule Slipstream 887. Love the sliding rack! Makes loading and unloading so much easier.

How much of a premium did the LE command?

I'm in the market for a replacement Hobie and may wait for the 2017 models.
