I purchased the following and didn't purchase it direct from Hobie since I found better pricing etc but some of the parts I did purchase from Hobie. 1. Motorguide XI5 Salt water GPS with the 54" shaft. Hobie recommends 50" however it is adjustable so I can set it up as required 2. Motorguide quick release bracket 3. Trolling Motor Mount / Pa17 (Hobie) 4. Wiring Kit, Pa17 Trolling Motor (Hobie) 5. Minn Kota power control centre battery box My question is does hobie have a different bracket for its 50" XI5 GPS they sell? Or will I have to devise a way for it to mount to my set up? The surprising part is you can't purchase the XI5 that Hobie recommends anywhere but Hobie and it got me thinking. I really hope the mounting brackets work. Thanks in advance, |

There is nothing special about the quick release bracket we have. The 50" model we spec simply is shorter... will be tall enough to see the head over your forward crew, but not so long as to over-torque the mounts. The QR Bracket should easily fit the motor and the Hobie motor mount. |

Some more questions, what parts do I need to mount my Lowrance Elite 7TI? 1. Berley Pro transducer mount is on order 2. What parts do I need for the H-rail ? |
