I recently upgraded from a 2005 outback to a 2017 Outback. WOW I love this boat.
I was going to put a Ram flush mount fly rod holder on it.
But a friend said the Scotty is a better rod holder.
Any opinions on which rod holder you like better?

I have a couple of the Ram mounts, my only complaint is with the latches that snap over to keep the rod in place. The two parts that snap are so stiff it's hard to do with one hand in a hurry when a fish hits. I've used the Scotty's on friends boats, I think I like rubber strap they use better.
