Hello, I'm new to the forum and hopefully I am posting this topic in the correct location.

I have a 2015 Outback with a Lowrance Hook 4 Fish Finder. It works well in shallow water (< 5' deep) and then flashes the depth and shows a lot of interference at anything deeper. The unit has worked well in the past and I have only noticed this the last two trips out. Any thoughts? I am using the in-hull set up and the transducer has about 1/4" or so of clearance from the base plate.

Thanks.

I had that problem last week. I found that when I dragged my yak into the water tail first the transponder housing filled with sand. Once cleared, it was fine. I'd check if the housing is clear.

Thanks for your response JohnsYak, I should've mentioned in my original post that the housing was clear and clean. That was my first thought too!

I would contact customer support at Navico and have them help troubleshoot: 800-628-4487

Sorry for the slow response, I've been on vacation with no internet access.

Thanks for the phone number HStretch, that's a great idea and I'll check in with them.
