I have a question. What is a better choice for a nose rope than paracord? That stuff is a magnet for treble hooks when I have to lay down my rods to go under branches a low bridge they get hung up often. I was river fishing last week and ended getting two plugs caught right at the bow. It was very snaky and I had to go about a mile to find a suitable spot to egress my Outback and cut them out damaging the rope. If you say I could walk up front, I will tell you I'm 72 and my balance is not what it was last century.

I had that issue with my landing net. I saw a post that suggested spraying it with FlexSeal. It worked like a charm after two coats. You might want to try that first. It will make the rope a bit less pliable, but hooks will not catch in it.
Good luck...

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like that might work if I spray the first 18" and I can crawl up a release an errant hook. :D

or hook your lures to the reel/first rod guide instead of have them dangling at the rod tip?
