Hello new to this site new owner of a Hobie.. So here today I’m asking if anything anyone has experienced this situation. So my Hobie outback mirage s.u.v with or without the block or mirage drive in that whole area fills up with water immediately couple inches up to the netting Sitting at the lip just below the seat. I’ve used a flash light looked no cracks not nowhere inside the hull no leaks it’s dry. Looking for any answers or people have had this issue before I just don't think it’s rite.. |

The design of the hull allows water to fill in to the floor area. This depends on weight carried in the kayak. The hull will ride lower when you are in it. The floor is low for comfortable ergonomics compared to the seat. With a Mirage kayak your feet are typically raised onto the pedals when using it. |

I have a 2007 Outback. If I reading right the water comes up to the netting on the side pocket. It sounds like a lot more water than I get. Weight is a factor, IM 170#s. I get an inch or so. |

I've been using and abusing Outbacks for almost 15 years and I've never had that much water in the cockpit. Something is amiss. |
