All ideas are welcome. Looking to lighten the load a bit without breaking the bank on a new or used kayak paddle for my solo trips. I understand that some may prefer a single paddle which I take with me anyway so I'm just want to know if folks who use one have a favorite fiberglass or carbon fiber double-blade paddle that weighs less than 2lbs?

It's here my interested: Carlisle Predator Fiberglass Paddle

If you're a Carlisle Predator Fiberglass Paddle owner, would like to hear your experience with the extendable Fiberglass Paddle durability and how they compare to other Paddles you've tried.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Light Weight, Strength, Price: pick 2

Don't know what kayak you are paddling, but these Eddyline (formerly Swift) paddles are my favorite kayak paddles for two decades. They are strong enough and will be close to your weight baseline.

As noted, getting an under 2 pounds kayak paddle long enough and strong enough for a wider fishing kayak will cost.

FWIW - these are the kayaks/construction I most wish Hobie would adapt the Mirage Drive into. . .
