My home base for fishing was Mexico Beach. Lost every piece of fishing equipment I ever owned as well as my 2 Hobie Kayaks. At least we are safe but it sure is heart breaking and gut wrenching. This is what’s left of my home and the last time I saw the kayaks as I tucked them in behind the house.

So sorry you are going through this. My floating dock here in Cedar Key broke free, but otherwise I'm unscathed. The yaks were inside and the surge didn't get up to house. I can't believe the pictures I'm seeing from Mexican Beach. |
