its fast. that is the best thing I can say about it. stable. I did feel like I almost died in a freak windstorm on a reservoir lake. I had to beach it and hike cross country for my truck. despite the wave's best efforts, I didn't flip. I have caught 100's of bass, including some good ones. my PB is a 7lb fish. I have taken it into big lakes and tiny ponds. harassing fish. the seat positions sucks. its too low to slip a lure box underneath. I think a 0.5" would make all the difference in the world. I installed the big square hatch and use that insert that holds two 3600 boxes. it is okay. the square tub doesn't fit. i'm too lazy to do the mods. besides it would fit the same two 3600 boxes only for the most part. I am considering buying a Hobie PA 360 as a main boat and keeping the Compass for the smaller waters. |

Fast is relative. I'm sure your Compass is faster than some kayaks and slower than others. You can buy aftermarket seat risers for the Compass: https://www.berleypro.com/product/compa ... its-hobie/ I have no idea if use of the risers impacts your warranty. |

yea.,fast is relative. but i have numbers. i can go 4mph (okay 3.5-3.8mph) for a long time before i need to take a breather. couple miles and its not difficult. i think that's fast. it powered by gravy and cheeseburgers. i bought a Outback just recently. they are relatively similar in speed. fast. i can hang with most of my motorized buddies for the most part. i haven't met a torqueedo owner yet, so i havent been left in the wake of one yet. |

Can't see how they would effect warranty. These are just a spacer that goes between seat and mount. They are attached to the seat frame (which is pretty tough). No drill holes into hull or anything crazy to install them. We've sold at least a hundred of these, never once heard of them creating any structural issues whatsoever. Its a pretty safe accessory to add on. I'd probably think twice about raising the height if I was tall and 110kg+ |
